Spring Workshop: Creating a Handmade Floral Wreath

The American Russian Center, in collaboration with Игра.Unplugged Summer Camp, is happy to invite our community to another warm and creative spring workshop: making a beautiful decorative floral wreath by hand. This event offers a wonderful opportunity for children and adults alike to come together, create something meaningful, and celebrate the arrival of spring through art and tradition.
The floral wreath has long been a meaningful symbol across many cultures, including Slavic traditions. Often associated with renewal, protection, and the cycle of nature, wreaths were woven from fresh flowers and greenery to celebrate seasonal transitions, especially the arrival of spring. In Russian and Eastern European traditions, wreath-making is connected to themes of beauty, unity, and connection to nature. Creating a wreath by hand is not only a creative activity but also a way to engage with these deeper cultural meanings.
During the workshop, participants will:
- Create their own decorative spring wreath using soft, colorful materials
- Learn simple crafting techniques in a supportive environment
- Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere
- Take home a beautiful handmade decoration
No prior experience is needed, and all materials will be provided. FREE!
